So, to get this update, I can delete/ uninstall the app on my phone and reinstall it via the AppStore? Will my data be restored upon reinstallation? I’m not familiar with GitHub at all.

    AppStore (iOS) shows updates or usually they do auto update to latest version. During updates your data will stay, BUT if you delete app and reinstall, it will clear app data.
