Have you ever wondered who the Witnesses are on Hive?

Did you know every Hivian has 30 votes for Witnesses on Hive?

Do you know which Witnesses you’d like to vote for?

On the legacy chain I used to host a monthly show to bring the Witnesses and the community together. It started as the result of a discussion in PYPT Pimp Your Post Thursday through which I realized there was a knowledge gap about the Witnesses.

It was an opportunity to meet the Witnesses:

• find out what they do on the chain
• what projects are important to them
• how they feel about topics of interest on the chain
• for them to share about upcoming developments or possible developments

By hearing them, community members get a sense of who the Witnesses are and can make better informed voting decisions.

The show was structured so members of the community could ask questions and we’d have a civil discussion.

I’ve recently had some requests to bring the Townhall back and after some discussion with others, I have decided to do so.

Hive Witness Townhall

It will take place on the 2nd Wednesday of the month starting on September 10th at 12pm EDT in the official Hive Discord

It doesn’t matter if you’re new to Hive or been here forever, your vote counts. So come on out and listen in, ask questions and learn.

This is my invite to the Witnesses and the Hive Community to join in.
