I just spent the last 10 messages explaining to you that on hive the trending feed depends on the app. On 3Speak it’s driven by stats so downvotes don’t work, on peakd it’s a less sophisticated algo so they leave it driven by votes. It varies app to app.
Why are u saying then that the hive algo is driven by votes still when I just explained to u that it IS NOT???
One can only be specific to an app for this conversation. It is the apps that censor, not the blockchain. For example on 3Speak trending feed this type of down voting does not determine the ranking of the user on the trending feed on other platforms it does. But it’s all still on hive
Ahhhh, now ur starting to get it.
Censorship is in the apps, not the blockchain, since that very same content would still show up at the top of the feed of an app like 3Speak which uses a different trending algo.
Soon users will be able to customize their own trending feeds. So all of this wil go away, even at the app level. I would not also say that peakd is pro censorship, it’s just that they didn’t dedicate many resources to their trending feed, yet
