People often believe that to be out in nature, you need to be lost in the middle of a giant pine forest hundreds of miles from civilization.
Not true, nature is there ready for us whenever we are ready for it, even in the middle of a large town or city, it would do more people good to remember this and get out and exercise their legs and lungs a bit. Everybody is always using the phrase 'get out and touch grass!' these days, like it is a newly discovered principle, it isn't, exercise and sunlight and some fresh air have amazing benefits, especially for mental health aside from the obvious physical benefits.
It is great for the girls too, of course to get a habit for walking and fresh air when they are still young, it massively aids development.
I used to get enormous January blues, the depressing nature of the post-Christmas crash, dark nights and less sun. Not anymore. I make a point of getting outside, even when I don't really feel like it, I work super hard on planning where I want to be in the New Year, (this starts the day after Christmas.) I also drive everybody mad by telling them how much extra daylight we will have next week, next month and how close we are to Spring, then Summer.
I also don't get too stuck in the dark season as I know with every year that passes, time moves faster!
Decorations go up, come down, go back in the loft, Easter happens, kids have school Summer holidays, decorations come back down from the loft, then the whole cycle begins again, faster than we could ever have imagined.
Have some controlled fun with the trading man π Hope it keeps going great.
Have even more fun getting out with and spending lots of time with your wonderful family, that is where the real riches of life live.
That power-up was insane!!! Love the optimism you have shown in this community and Hive Town rocks! for anyone reading this and wondering if they should bother as they've seen a tonne of Hive games before.
This really is different! It isn't only a game and it is all about the Hive community!
Imagine a place where you can not only while away a little time with some fun games but also promote the work of your favourite Hivian writers and even bring some eyes to your own work (and maybe even win the Prize for the next contest:
That's Hive Town!
I will see you there as I NEED to beat @rozioo's top score for taking out acid-spitting Zombies! π©π
Wow, what an amazing comment! Thank you so much, my friend! β€οΈ
I completely agree with you. Time flies incredibly fast, and the older we get, the more we realize how important those little moments with our families really are. No amount of money can replace them.
I also love your positive approach to winter! Maybe I should start counting the days until spring instead of complaining about the cold! Haha π
And thank you so much for your kind words about Hive Town! It really means a lot to me. I'm trying to create something special for our Hive community, and comments like yours give me even more motivation to keep improving it.
Unfortunately, today I lost control of my trading. Too many things went wrong in such a short period of time, and sadly, the market got the better of me this time. But I won't give up! I just need to learn from my mistakes and come back stronger! πͺ
But be careful... I'm not giving up my Zombie Arena record that easily! ππ§ββοΈπͺ
Haha yes, I literally count every extra minute of daylight each day as the days start to grow longer again.
Hive Town, in my estimation will be incredibly popular, I was considering writing a promotion post, but I thought you may not be ready for that, so thought I should ask first, if there was more things you wish to tinker with and refine before I do that.
It wouldn't be hugely focussed on the games, although obviously would mention them and maybe some screen-grabs. It would be far more about community and the opportunity we have if we all use it properly and mindfully. Community is always my prime focus of anything I do on Hive. There will always be more games, always more apps and Dapps, a never-ending supply of social media.
But the chance to make connections that grow over time as we all grow in many ways together, now that is priceless. One thing I particularly love about Hive Town is the chance to promote others who you find valuable, that is the huge difference. Hope the household is feeling a little better π€
No worries about your score since the scary zombies (who appear to be Olympic sprint champions!!!) appeared, I cannot score more than 29 π
Love the work you have done there. One thing I thought I would mention though, the red of the zombies against the red background makes them a little difficult to distinguish and target, however I see the immense Hive theming so totally get it.
I also cannot beat the final mummy in the ruins... Is my whole life destined to end in abject failure!
I shall not give up until...... π§ββοΈπ₯πͺ
From an old post, felt relevant π€£π π
hahahaha :D <3
