Helo Hivers
Am Victor Umoh my mom and friends call do call me Vick that's why I choose the username @theycallmevick.
Am from Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, that's where I was born and brought up.
I schooled here at a prestigious institution Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, where I studies Electronics/Telecommunication Engineering because of the love I have for technology and robotics.
Currently am working as a computer operator in a school and also working from home as a software developer. I started my teaching carrier after my graduation from school because of the love I have for tech and children. Teaching the children basic computer and basic programing makes me happy.
My hobbies are reading, writing, coding and playing games.
I love reading historical books, when I was a kid, those books my Dad used when he was in school the 19s book, those books were full of facts, it made me know the history of my tribe and others tribes in Nigeria.
I love writing, mainly I write motivational contents, little tech news including crypto and news about Africa. I started writing since my secondary school days. Since I went to a boarding school, when I have issues I don't share it with people I try to share it with my self by writing as if am receiving an advise from an elderly person, try to imitate the advice they will give to me. I do that and it really helped me.
Programing I will say is part of my life, I code everytime, when am not coding, am thinking about coding. It makes me focus more on solving problems as I was taught in school that engineers solves problem any where they see themselves. When the programs gets to my skull I used game to calm myself before going back. It's like my daily routine, morning I go to school to teach, afternoon I code when tired I play games and code again.
My journey in hive stated when I heard people discussing about it on my way to school. He told me about it but I refused to register, I was afraid, I thought he was a scammer. He added that I should make research about it and I did. That's how I discovered it and followed it on social media. First as normal na, in Naija we are always afraid of scammers. I needed to check the social media if people really conderm the ecosystem but I didn't see anything like that, that's what triggered me to join.
Am happy to be here and God bless @blefix for letting me know about hive.

Hi @theycallmevick welcome to Hive. I'm @palomap3 from Lovesniper OCD team.
It's logical that you were wary of joining Hive, it seems too good to be true, hehe. But it is! I see that you use writing as something almost therapeutic. It will be interesting to hear your thoughts. You seem like someone who is very focused on what you enjoy doing. I can relate to that. Although I see that your friend @blefix isn't very active, I hope he can help you get started here. Anyway, here's some useful information, and I wish you luck.
