What financial incentives are large financial firms seeing in the cryptocurrency market?

With all the big traditional financial firms gorging on cryptocurrency, what incentives are being realized?

Do large banks and investment houses see a future in Defi, NFTs, money transfer technology and blockchain?  Is this a short-term pump and dump opportunity?

I think the big boys are using cryptocurrency Winter to scoop up worthy cryptocurrency projects for future gains.  What say you?
