RE: Joining One BTC Club with Existing Hive Account? Waiting ...

Unfortunately, @oadissin, I do not know the answer to your question. While I assume the answer is no, I could not say for certain. I believe Lightning addresses resemble names like email addresses.

All I can tell you is I successfully transferred BTC to the new Native Segwit address in my Xverse wallet, which begins with 'bc1'. It was created for and now dedicated to the One Bitcoin Club community.

Hopefully, someone else will know the answer for certain.

P.S. I should also point out I set up my Xverse wallet with an address which is Ledger-backed, for additional security. When you generate a Ledger-backed address to receive BTC, I do not think a Lightning address is an available option.

Sort:

You are right
Segwit address does not receive Lightning transaction
It has to be a sending address compatible with Segwit.
I did it using Binance.
It is working now.

Thank you for the confirmation, @oadissin. Glad to hear you were able to make progress getting set up for joining the One Bitcoin Club!
