I love the closeness between the two. I never had cats that liked each other so much. They are having a peaceful life.
I wouldn't worry too much about them being late on their feedings.😉

Thanks so much. The result of reducing the amount of food in the bowls was that these cats felt they had to gobble up all the food in case there won’t be enough food later. Previously we left them lots of food on the bowls, so they were quite relax about food and knew there would always be leftovers!
The smaller cat has been seen hunting for small birds in the fields!
My former cats were fatter than yours.😌
