You would expect a fair amount of Americans opting for CBDC but the research conducted by Genesis Mining reveals the opposite, form the research, some Americans still thinks the USD is backed by gold, oil etc while some have no idea, so that should explain why there are more people opposing CBDC in the States.

While this research was only conducted in the States, make no mistake you will get similar pathetic result around the world. I never knew all these until 2013 when I watched Mike Maloney's Hidden Secret of Money which opened my eyes to what I never knew about money, remember this things are not thought in schools.

It all make sense why most Americans are oppose to CBDC, you can imagine cryptocurrency will give a far worse result. It is time we start doing our bit by sharing the small knowledge we have about money with our friends and love ones.

We owe it to ourselves to make Hive great

But why! It must be cryptocurrency community who is opposing CBDCs. If someone thinks CBDCs as some cryptocurrency standing for censorship-free, borderless transfers with decentralized ownership of value, then CBDCs are a disappointment. But CBDCs are an improvement over traditional way of storing and exchanging fiat currencies. Since cryptocurrencies ain't gonna replace fiat anytime soon, imho, CBDCs should be welcomed as another form of fiat. But it can't compete with true, public blockchains.

No doubt CBDC for the crypto community is no different from paper fiat, in fact I see CBDCs as more power of the governments over us, with them having of our data etc, and I expect CBDCs to be easier to use than cryptocurrencies which invariably should serve as a trojan horse for cryptocurrencies.

It won't be too long before they convince him, its going to be used for helicopter money and who is going to say no to free money even if its a golden handcuff

I oppose the US government and central bank. So anything they do, for the most part, I am against.
