Learning Stage

Sometime ago, during my industrial training years, myself and other students would always complain about how much we were
earning compared to the work we were doing, I was working at a factory where computer systems were being assembled and repaired, it was a hectic 9-5 but I liked it, although our payments were delayed a lot of times and other times we got short paid which caused a lot of outcry from the workers.

I was the student coordinator, so it was common for me to have dialogues with the boss from time to time. One time, he called me into his office to give me some pep talk, he said when it comes to finances, life is in 3 stages, the learning stage, the earning stage and the spending stage and he doesn't see reasons as to why earning and spending were our major focus. Could he be right.

So I applied my common sense.

It is easier to come down than to go up in almost everything in life, going up only gets easier when you're closer to the top which is where the second stage is, the earning stage, every one must earn to be able stand alone then one graduates to earning for comfort before getting up to the Spending stage.

Everybody wants to earn and spend, some just outrightly want to start spending all without living in the first stage which is often the hardest of the three stages. It usually ends up in a disaster. That train of thought has stuck with me for the longest time, I try to learn as much as I can, I've been learning blockchain by living it for over 3years, even though it seems so small, its been some 3 longass years,....

...even though I don't know more than 3% of it, I probably can still tell where my left hand is from my right, there are levels to bullshit, I will most likely spot one from miles away, if Blockchain were to be some jungle like the Jurrasic park, I would probably survive till the last scene, at least before being eaten by some Trex.

Thats how much I've learnt and I'm still quite learning...I'm looking forward to living in the remaining stages. You?

Just sharing my thoughts...

Thanks for reading...

Sometimes I think that the more you earn the more you spend, and there are people who without earning anything want to spend a lot and life is not like that, we deserve good things but we must be constant and work for them.

You get my drift exactly. Thank you

I am still in the learning stage in the crypto world, still have a lot to learn, because it develop in very fast pace.
but yes, people tend to spend more then they are able to earn, soem don't event bother to learn. In my culture, where we stick together in a big family, i saw some younger generation are just becoming a burden, because they only now how to spend

Spending is the easiest part. Even a baby will spend given the chance. Learning is the hardest, then earning in between. If you have nothing to offer, earning might come in super difficult.

very well said. yu can give something to offer after completing the learning process which gives us unique ability

Kiyosaki (quite rightly) emphasises the importance of what you can LEARN from a job, as opposed to what you can EARN from it. I worked a government job for over two decades, never earning much. BUT: it did equip me with a great set of tools - tools which I am now putting to good use - to earn.

Good post!
