Urban areas are the most affected.

The polluted water we drink, polluted air we breath in our body has a negative effect to our health, when talking about pollution these is something that's so common in the urban areas and less in the rural areas because of its difference in infrastructure and pollution control guidelines, but regardless whether a state or country is developed there's a sight of pollution cause by the slightest misuse of resources which tends to affect every aspect.
In our world today when you take a visit to big cities like Lagos state of Nigeria having a vast population, the rate of pollution is more and being difficult to control due to overpopulation, a larger population means a greater challenge. Humanly there's a part where ignorance eats us up knowing fully well things to avoid but keep mute till it's of a greater danger.

This is a state where the consumerism habits is extremely high because of it's massive population so therefore the waste product been disposed is much, now taking a quick case study and view of the air pollution aspect in same lagos state,NIGERIA. The vast movement of vehicles especially the non serviceable cars releasing dangerous carbon dioxide harmful to the lungs. It is noticed that the greater flow of cars also contribute significantly pollution and we feel this in the atmosphere.
Also the aspect of noise pollution is also a factor that needs serious attention, I feel it should be regulated, not all places heavy duty machines and engines should be mounted for operation especially reserved areas.

Today I live in a city of almost same vast population like Lagos, in the north side of Nigeria kano state. I have gotten use to the condition here, so when ever I go down south to Lagos state there's a change of atmosphere, I'm not generalizing that the whole lagos is in bad condition, No, but the over populated part are seriously facing unhealthy environment issues.

But I believe personally it's a question of the mentality of the people residing there. There's a saying that state that ignorance kills a man faster than anything else. Because here in my city there are people who are aware of the effect and danger blocked sewage, scattered refuse dump and vehicles pouring out dark smoke into the air for passerby to inhale.
The Welcoming SOLUTIONS.
At every corner of the street there should be refuse/garbage collector and a designated zone mapped out for the government to dump refuse either for incinerator purposes or for reusage.
Every stream, gutters connecting neighborhood or man made canal crossing through the city should be properly kept clean, regular cleansing Improve the atmosphere to be friendly.
Fumigation is very important in every household, schools, offices and market places considering the condition of harbouring food items, these activity should be done every month and gradually the cities atmosphere begins to set in.
Investing in awareness, letting the illiterate people know how harmful pollution is to the health.

Pollution will always be present in people's life but it can be reduced to it minimal stage if not completely eradicated, the big challenge is if there isn't a joint action in tackling it manually or an advance modern technology device, it just tends to increase pollution hazards.
It is best for the government to look at the best solution to such depending on the areas affected by pollution.
Images belongs to me.
Peace.
Beautiful pictures I love this flowers so beautiful.
Pollution is also one of our major problems here in the Philippines, especially in Metro Manila. I'm also hoping that our government will find the best solution to resolve it.
