But in the middle of that scary and heartbreaking time, something truly amazing happened help arrived. My family from Mandaue City and Mindanao reached out to us without hesitation. They sent the things we needed the most food, water, clothes, and comfort. More than the relief goods, it was their love, care, and assurance that gave us strength to keep going. Even from miles away, they made us feel that we were not alone in this struggle.
A few days later, volunteers and soldiers came with relief goods. They gave us rice, noodles, canned food, and bottled water. When we received them, we were so happy and thankful. It made us realize that we were not alone. There were many kind people who cared about us, even if they didnโt know us personally.
I want to say a big thank you to everyone who helped the Philippine Army, our local government, and the private groups and donors who shared what they had. You didnโt just give us food; you gave us hope and courage. Each pack of food and water reminded us that kindness is powerful. It showed that when people work together, even in hard times, good things can happen.
It was also very touching to see the bayanihan spirit of Filipinos. People who were also affected by the earthquake still found ways to help others. Some helped repack goods, others delivered food to faraway places. Even those who had little still shared what they could. Thatโs what makes our community strong we help each other no matter what.
This experience taught me that being strong is not just about surviving, but also about helping others survive. The earthquake may have shaken our homes, but it brought out the kindness and unity in our hearts.
To everyone who donated, volunteered, and prayed for us thank you so much! You gave us hope when we needed it the most. We will never forget your kindness. Even though we might not be able to pay you back, we promise to help others in need someday. The earthquake may have destroyed buildings and houses , but it did not destroy our faith and love. Because all of you, we learned that even in the darkest times, there are still good people who bring light.
From our hearts to yours, thank you for being our light after the storm. May God bless you all for your kindness and love.
