RE: Staring at the Exit Door: Is It Time to Jump?

in Reflections28 days ago

I also have a friend who has been in the 'The Golden Cage' for many years always talking how he wants to do something on his own but the jump is too scary and uncertain. For myself, I don't experience the golden cage when it comes down to 'career' or finances but a lot more when it comes to the general comfort bubble that I live in. One of those things is that my mom still does my laundry :-)

It is a golden cage. The most important thing for me would be the false feeling of freedom. But I have to take the family in the decision. Not willing to take the risk if I would harm their happiness or future.
