Good rule...
Yes! But once I said it, I had to keep it. It has been that way since they were little.
They all both hate that rule and love it at the same time. Whenever I see one walking towards me,
their little face all twisted, cheeks red, I know what is coming.
Back story - I was walking with the pictured x-rugrat, heading out for dinner, and I mentioned the tripometer having been reset at the gas station before I last park... "Hey Dad, there is something I wanted to tell you."
It is better to get it upfront. :)
I know. I had him and could have laid into him. But...
What gets me is that I have shared my mistakes and what I learned from them. I could have let them think I was a model kid, but I wanted them to learn from, not copy my mistakes. Did they choose not to learn from them? Would other kids choose to avoid mistakes? I question my choice to share them these days.
