RE: Sunday Funday: 20th September, 2026

I suspect that, like all pharmaceutical drugs, they come with adverse side effects, some of them unforeseen. Maintaining a healthy diet really isn't that difficult, I've done it all my life. People are simply bloody lazy and self-indulgent, and would rather take a pill than change their habits.

As Hippocrates supposedly said: “Everyone wants to heal until the medicine shows up in the form of discipline”

Sort:

they come with adverse side effects, some of them unforeseen.

An interesting story and why I asked this today is from Australia, where a person stabbed some old woman to death and has said it is from Ozempic side effects. Apparently he has been trying to get help for weeks.

“Everyone wants to heal until the medicine shows up in the form of discipline”

And doctors seem to foregt their "Hippocratic" oath. Hypocrisy.

Seem to forget. They forgot it long ago! All of their treatments have side effects. Can't remember for sure who said this, possibly the first director of John's Hopkins hospital: a patient who takes a pharmaceutical has to recover twice, once from the illness the pharmaceutical was prescribed for, and then from the illness the pharmaceutical gave him. Paraphrased of course. We have all seen this, although the doctors look the other way and gaslight us for thinking it.

I think the doctors are conditioned too. Of they go against the system, the system chews them up.

Doctors that expose the criminality of the industry lose their licenses and their reputations. I am so grateful to all of those who do it, Andrew Wakefield was the first that I was aware of, but I know this has been going on at least since the beginnings of homeopathy, and was made much worse upon the earliest ascendancy of the American Medical Association in the mid-18002. We can lay a lot of blame for the sorry state of world health at that organization's feet. .

Mark Twain (I think): it is difficult for a man to understand something if his salary depends on his not understanding it.
