Reflections: The burn of heat/Reflexiones: El abraso del calor
Abraso: (Según la RAE) Es la expresión del frío o calor excesivo. Ojalá fuera con "Z" y ese abrazo fuera menos invasivo y dañino.
Adentro o Afuera llega el calor. Hace calor. Mucho calor. El problema del no retorno del planeta se hace evidente. Hace mucho calor. Tomas mucha agua e igual sigues sintiendo calor y sed ¿Qué pasa con nosotros? ¿Qué pasa con el ambiente? ¿Qué ocurre con nuestro planeta?
Quizás los icebergs que desaparecen o los osos polares que tienen calor en este momento, estén lejos de nuestros linderos. Y pensemos que nada tiene que ver con las sábanas y los Llanos de mi tierra en Venezuela. Pero aunque no lo creamos si es posible...
Creemos que estamos lejos pero estamos interconectados y eso va mucho antes de la aparición del Internet. Lo que hagamos no sólo afecta a nuestros lados. Afecta a todos los sitios y lugares de esta gran aldea. Es increíble la cantidad de artículos que día a día se producen a favor de una educación ambiental para todos nosotros. Pero igual estamos contaminando y contaminando mucho más.

Estamos contaminando: Los poderosos, los pobres, los gobiernos y todos y hay que tener cuidado como lo decimos y no hablar mucho en este mercado de plástico que además que nos ciega y nos vende una realidad de compra que beneficia a algunos y daña a todos, no caeremos en esto de teorías conspirativas; pero no todos los accidentes pueden ser fortuitos...
Hay calor y este calor nos lleva a tener sed, pero una sed de esas insaciables y señores, estamos a punto de quiebre... No decimos esto por ser alarmistas o pesimistas, no obstante estamos viviendo inmenso calor y no del corporal sino el calor excesivo que abrasa al planeta en donde los seres vivos. Aún no toman en serio esto de respetar la naturaleza...
Desde hace algunos días me ha tocado dictar el curso de Educación Ambiental y también me ha tocado llamar la atención de algunos participantes (estudiantes universitarios) que sacan puntas de sus lapiceros y tiran desperdicios en el piso del salón, y es allí lo paradójico de encontramos con salones llenos de basura y papeleras vacías, de verdad, algo que es incomprensible...
Hay calor y este calor nos lleva a tener sed, pero una sed de esas insaciables y señores, estamos a punto de quiebre... No decimos esto por ser alarmistas o pesimistas, no obstante estamos viviendo inmenso calor y no del corporal sino el calor excesivo que abrasa al planeta en donde los seres vivos. En mi ciudad creo que falta mucho para la tener una cultura ecológica.
Andamos en la calle, en bicicleta y muchas veces los vehículos automotores como carros y motos, poco respetan el derecho de luz verde del semáforo y aun así, el mundo sigue pensando que el carro es la solución para todo, absolutamente todo, menos para purificar el aire. Si supieramos realmente que necesitamos más aire limpio, más bicicleta, más patinetas y menos dióxido de carbono, a lo mejor podríamos salvar no sólo el ambiente sino salvarnos nosotros mismos. ¿De qué vale tener un estatus si eso mata nuestro hogar? La respuesta está en cada uno de nosotros...
Hablamos de reciclaje y somos capaces de seguir gastando hojas blancas por un lado de la página por la costumbre de gastar y derrochar. Todo tiene que ser impreso; en muchos trámites en donde pueden usarse páginas reusadas y reutilizadas. Y en verdad, ya los ríos ni los árboles aguantan más daño y gasto innecesario. Debemos aprender el coste ambiental por todas los bienes de consumo y que pagamos por ello y sabrá Dios cuántos de esos bienes deberían de pagarnos por tanto daño a nosotros...Si todos podemos poner un grano de arena, todos podemos mejorar nuestro ambiente. Porque cuando la tierra colapse en los próximos años, es mejor irnos con paz en la conciencia de haber hecho algo; que jamás haber hecho nada. Hasta la próxima. Dios les bendiga...

In my city I think there is a long way to go to have an ecological culture.
We walk on the street, on bicycles and many times motor vehicles such as cars and motorcycles, little respect the right of the green light of the traffic light and even so, the world continues to think that the car is the solution for everything, absolutely everything, except to purify the air. If we really knew that we needed more clean air, more bicycles, more skateboards and less carbon dioxide, maybe we could save not only the environment but ourselves. We talk about recycling and we are capable of continuing to waste white pages on one side of the page due to the habit of spending and wasting. Everything has to be printed; in many procedures where reused and reused pages can be used. And in truth, neither the rivers nor the trees can withstand any more damage and unnecessary expense. We must learn the environmental cost of all consumer goods and what we pay for it and God knows how many of those goods should pay us for so much damage to us...If we can all do our bit, we can all improve our environment.
