Gosh, I would have changed practically 90% of my decisions. I look back at almost everything in my past as a very bad choice, but the things that I did get right I am still happy with not changing a fucking thing about.
Everyone has dark corners in their minds, some are more aware of them as you say and there are a lot of people that quite happily ignore them their entire lives. I don't even think they have the humility to acknowledge that everyone has skeletons no matter how fancy they may think they are.
I wonder what your friend thought after your coffee and chat...I'm sure it got him thinking and questioning things.
I would change a lot too and I would probably find a way to get rid of my sugar addiction earlier. Perhaps in ten years, I will try again :)
The internet culture. Compartmentalized outrage, cancelling people for minor transgressions, as if no one else has any of their own.
He is the kind of guy that will sit on it for months, and then start thinking about it much later. Bringing it up as a discovery.
Hahaha your sugar addiction - welcome to the club 😁
I like that term compartmentalized outrage, you should TM that before one of those fancy people steal it and make it "woke".
