RE: Sunday Funday: 7th June 2026

I fear that my mother or/ and our favorite neighbor will die and I will no longer have people who are close to me. That I will be basically alone in this world. I can't do much about it so I just try to enjoy the time that I still have left with them.

You can do a lot about it - you needn't isolate yourself in waiting. :)

I know this fear. I was around 14 years old when my father died of a heart attack. For many years afterwards, I used to wake up at night just to check whether my mother and siblings were still breathing. It was quite traumatic.

Yes. Sometimes I wake up and hear that my mother is breathing and it feels like I just got the best gift.

Almost everyone has that fear. That fear for me became reality upon the death of my mother.

Best way, I believe, to cope with it is to realize the transitional nature of life, nothing ever stays the same for long.

Once you accept that fact and make your peace with it, it becomes easier to live with. And then you make the most of every moment of time you have with those friends and loved ones.
