Some people in Lithuania want to increase fines(10 times) for not rising our flag during national days. What do you think about such forced patriotism?

Seems like most countries have bigger issues they should be worrying about.
Like getting food.
For sure!
I say down with that sort of thing!
Apparently lithuanians will also get fined for too big grass in the yard. I think those ideas are crazy but also a bit funny.
In principle, I am against regulations. I believe one should have the right to do what one wishes so long as it does not interfere with the right of another to do the same.
Absolutely silly. Are there fines now?
If I am not mistaken current fines are either 30 or 50 eur(?).
I think that is ridiculous! And it will be a pain in the butt to do as well as will be a fake portrayal of patriotism.
I also saw at least one comment who not only supported such idea but even claimed that he spies on other people(not his exact words) so he could report those who don't rise a flag to the police. That person also said that this is not snitching but duty. having to pay 300(?) just because you forgot to rise a flag and someone snitched on you sure sounds fun...
Yeah, I don't like that kind of approach considering reporting others as your duty.
