What is wrong with us?
Few days ago I heard on the news that one teenage girl beat up another teenage girl really badly. And others just watched this happen, filmed and even encouraged that bully to beat her victim even harder. The masses always wants bread and circuses...even more so if those circuses are bloody. One would think that after all this time we should have evolved past enjoying gladiators fighting. But those fights still thrive to this day. From combat sports to such beatings without any rules at all. Humans are very bizarre creatures.
Makes you wonder sometimes. A couple weeks ago there was a gathering of people where some people got shot. I think the number was like four. But to me that would be enough for me to have wanted to exit that scene but instead, when the police got there, they wouldn't even move out of the street. They couldn't get first responders to the injured, and I guess from the article, some lady who live in the area, helped police, maybe by giving them a sheet to lay one of the people shot onto, and the police had to run through the crowd to get him to an ambulance. By far the craziest thing I've seen so far, cops running down a street with a man on a sheet to get him out of there to get help. They said it would have cost him his life if they hadn't done that. People were in the video just walking around in the road like they were numb to the sounds of violence.
Humans are capable of incredible things. Sadly most of those things are also horrific.
I have seen quite a few videos of girls attacking and bullying other girls with extreme violence. I guess, this is the equality people have fought for.
