RE: Sunday Funday: October 25th, 2026

Update. Some time ago I asked your advice what to do about email from Paymonade. Today I got another email from them:

Reminder: your tax information is due
Dear Customer,
This is a reminder that you have 30 days left to complete your tax information.
After 23 November 2026, trading and withdrawals will be paused until it’s completed. It only takes about 2 minutes.
Warm regards,
Paymonade Team

You said you don't use them, why would you give them information?

I assume that this is something to do with binance because I only bought crypto there(and credits in splinterlands). Not being able to use binance in the future would suck a bit. But I have no idea when I will be able to use binance anyway. Also this is a second time I mentioned this in your comment section and no one else responded saying that they got the same email. So I find that strange because I think that many people here are(or were) using binance to buy crypto...

If you haven't signed up for it, I don't know how they are connected to binance.

After I ask google it says that:

paymonade is an official third-party payment partner integrated with Binance for fiat-to-crypto (buying) and crypto-to-fiat (selling/off-ramp) transactions.

I did buy crypto with my debit card on binance.

Do they say which jurisdiction they are working in, and does it match where you live ? Unless you've got balances in Binance that you don't want to or can't withdraw before 23rd November, I don't see any reason to comply with their demands.

I would also carefully copy the email address they have used and put it into something where you can play around with fonts to see if there is any character substitution (e.g. "Paym0nade").

If it's Binance-related, have you looked in your Binance account to see if there is any notification about this, or contacted their support to ask if it is a genuine email ?

I've got to be honest, it sounds highly dubious. Unless you've got a Paymonade or Binance account you can independently log in to where there is a notification asking you to submit the information, I would treat it as a phishing attack.

Thank you for your advices. I just looked in my binance account and it doesn't have any notification about Paymonade. I don't know their jurisdiction.
