Nowadays you have to question everything you read, hear or even see more than ever.
Many people comment on pictures or video clips posted online without any context. Some are not even real, but AI generated.
But a lot of people form their opinions based on that info.
There is even evidence that other regimes comment on certain content, just to create division among the population and destabilize a country.
My advise is; don't believe everything you see or hear and don't judge if you don't know the context of what happened.
I agree, blindly taking what we see, read and hear as fact is a bit foolish.
It's incredible what opinions are formed based on only the most tenuous facts that, as you say, are often baseless. And yep, it's about destabilisation. However, many go against the advice you give in your last line and the result is...well, what society looks like and is today.
