RE: Comment (no) vote

in Reflections6 months ago

I need to ask the AI to write a comment, so isn't what I'm asking the AI enough for a comment

I prefer to interact with a human being and their own thoughts and opinions, not AI. Are you saying you use AI for commenting?

Saying thank you is polite and I do it all the time. My "one word comment remark" was more about people responding with, good post, who h clearly indicates they haven't read it or they don't care enough to write something valid. It's fishing for votes or favour and is a wasted comment, an opportunity lost to engage meaningfully and to build relationships.

Having said that, overly long commenting can be just as off-putting, especially for people who get a lot of comments. Being concise is preferable as (for me) properly responding to say, thirty long rambling comments a day, takes a lot of time. I'm not saying don't make longer comments just that a commenter should be mindful of the potential issue. Just my opinion. An example is this post...see the comments...have a look...it takes a lot of time to respond and the time may not always be available.

A shorter comment can still be impactful and valuable; it's the words themselves that hold the value. A balance needs to be found.

No, never.

I only use the help of a translator.
This was the question, but I forgot to put ? :-)

Certainly, shorter comments with fewer words that hit the point are the right thing, the only thing is that sometimes it is difficult to express a thought or an opinion in short lines.
