I don't know but I'm always happy when I give to others, even though I'm currently very broke, I can remember when I had some money and I was fairly comfortable.
You're right,I was Once in your shoes too, overrated my financial capabilities and suffered a type of brokeness that was made worse by the things around me.
One of the biggest lie we can ever tell ourselves is that we have enough not to go broke. We honestly don't have enough because life circumstances changes really quickly

From your experience, how would you say people can determine when to start being okay spending parts of the money they make on themselves? Because obviously, you can’t be making money and continue living in fear of not being able to spend it cos you might be poor again. Maybe another thing worth thinking about is how much is good enough for you to feel like you can afford basic luxuries and what is your definition of “basic luxuries”?
I think the rule of thumb is having money that already works for you. A 10k$ that's lying in a bank account is risky. But if this 10k$ is in a business that's generating let's say 100$ in a day, or maybe 50$ then that's a safety net. From my experience, this fear mostly ends when the money you have is yielding interests and actually compounding meaningfully.
