45 days ago I started to cultivate peanuts 🌱 in my in-laws' farm.
This experience reaffirmed in me a concept that all human beings should always keep in mind....

It was the month of October, and I always wanted to try growing peanuts, because it is a legume that I like very much, my grandparents had previously grown it, in the market it was paying well and I have peasant blood in my veins.
I was very curious about the process.
Whenever I had a question about the best months for sowing, cleaning, harvesting, etc., I went to my grandfather to ask him to clarify my doubts. His hands are still strong from working in agriculture and his mind is full of years of experience.
It is always good to be informed before starting to do anything we propose to do in life, maybe not perfectly because in the process you are learning too. But you have to have some knowledge.
So in mid-October I got down to work. I didn't think about it anymore, my father-in-law helped me to prepare the ground 🚜 and my work as a farmer began. 👨🌾
Falling from my hands 2 to three grains with a step of distance I went sowing little by little (sometimes I went more than the account). I was very happy that time was beginning to count. I was favored by the very rainy weather 🌧 in those days, which I deduced that soon the peanut plants would come out leafy.
Already a week later I started to see them coming out of the ground. Seven days after planting they looked very nice. Weeds could be seen very close to them, so I would have to remove them little by little because they would compete for the nutrients in the soil.
Although the planting was not extensive, it required time to remove all the weeds that affected the small plants. Since I started with the goal of getting good results in peanuts, (like my grandfather) I would have to do it right. Because we can't start something and leave it half done or our inspiration is only at the beginning. We must stand firm to reach our goal.

I could not clean everything in one day but I started in the order of the first ones I had sown devoting 2 to 3 hours to it. I transmitted patience, dedication, even love, I tried to be perfect and leave them super clean (sometimes I wish everything was perfect). With my hands I was caressing them.
The situation is that I traveled to my in-laws house weekly where I spent almost 3 full days from Friday to Sunday to rest from my work week. Therefore, weekly I would clean a part of the crop, always in order of the first ones, but I would only choose one day out of the three.
So the weeks went by and I was making progress and progress. I could already see the results. Until a few days ago I finished cleaning them completely.
Who says farming is easy 🥵?
And I realized something interesting.....

The ones I first cleaned and cared for were lusher, bigger and more beautiful, and they had even all flowered. On the contrary, the last ones were smaller and very few had flowers.
While I was taking care of the first ones, the last ones were filled with weeds that were growing to the point of almost covering them. I was a little sad about that. Although I haven't harvested the peanuts yet (up to 95 days), I'm impressed that the same will happen with the fruit. I know I could have made better use of the other 2 days a week that I did nothing. Maybe I would have dedicated a little more time to it.
We see this reflected in life as well. On many occasions we do not pay attention to things, issues that require care, dedication, affection on our part and suddenly the end result is not the same, or it goes out of hand and we lose it.
And it is then that we begin to reflect on how it would have been if we were aware of what we had around us, but now we see it from the outside.
Many times we don't know how to value what we have around us.
In conclusion,the things that are cared for and loved, are the ones that last and remain with all the beauty of the beginning. 🎯

Hace 45 dias atrás empecé a cultivar el mani 🌱 en la finca de mis suegros.
Esta experiencia reafirmó en mí un concepto que todos los seres humanos debemos tener siempre presente...
Les cuento..
Era el mes de octubre, y siempre quise probar cultivar el mani, porque es una legumbre que me gusta mucho, mis abuelos anteriormente lo había cultivado, en el mercado se estaba pagando bien y llevo sangre de campesino en mis venas.
Me daba mucha curiosidad el proceso.
Cada vez que se me ocurría alguna pregunta sobre cuáles son los mejores meses de sembrado, proceso de limpieza, recolección.. acudía a mi abuelo para que me aclarara las dudas. Sus manos aún fuertes del trabajo en la agricultura y su mente llena de años de experiencia.
Siempre es bueno informarse antes de empezar a hacer cualquier cosa que nos proponemos en la vida, quizás no a la perfección porque en el proceso vas aprendiendo también. Pero hay que tener algún conocimiento.
Hasta que a mediados de octubre puse manos a la obra. No lo pensé más, mi suegro me ayudó a preparar el terreno 🚜 y empezó mi labor de campesino. 👨🌾
Cayendo de mis manos 2 a tres granos con un paso de distancia fui sembrando poco a poco. (en ocasiones se me iban más de la cuenta). Me daba mucha alegría que ya el tiempo empezaba a contar. Me favoreció el clima muy lluvioso 🌧 en esos días, lo que deduje que pronto saldrían frondosas las plantas del maní.
Ya a la semana empecé a ver sus salidas de la tierra. 7 días de sembradas lucían muy bonitas. Se veía hierba muy cerca de ellas por lo cual tendría que quitarlas poco a poco porque competirían por los nutrientes de la tierra.
A pesar que no era extensa la plantación, requería tiempo para quitar toda la hierba que afectaba las pequeñas plantas. Ya que inicié con la meta de obtener buenos resultados en el maní, (como mi abuelo) tendría que hacerlo bien. Porque no podemos empezar algo y dejarlo a medias o que nuestra inspiración quede solo al inicio. Debemos mantenernos firmes para llegar a nuestra meta.
Porque 100×0 es igual a 0.
No podía limpiar todo en un solo día pero empecé en el orden de las primeras que había sembrado dedicando 2 a 3 horas a ello. Transmitía paciencia, dedicación, incluso amor, trataba de ser perfecto y dejarlas super limpias. (A veces quisiera que todo sea a la perfección). Con mis manos las iba acariciando.
La situación es que yo viajaba a la casa de mis suegros semanalmente donde me pasaba casi 3 días completos de Viernes a Domingo para descansar de mi semana laboral. Por lo tanto, semanalmente limpiaría una parte del cultivo, siempre en orden de las primeras, pero solo escogía un día de los tres.
Así fueron pasando las semanas y yo iba avanzando y avanzando. Ya se veían los resultados. Hasta hace unos días que terminé de limpiarlas completamente.
¿Quién dice que la agricultura es fácil? 🥵

Las que primero limpié y cuidé estaban más frondosas, más grandes y hermosas, inclusos ya todas habían florecido. Por el contrario, las últimas eran más pequeñas y muy pocas tenían flores.
Es que mientras cuidaba las primeras, las últimas se llenaba de hierba que iban creciendo al punto de casi taparlas. Me trajo un poco de tristeza eso. Aunque aún no he cosechado el maní (hasta 95 días), me impresiona que con el fruto pasará igual. Sé que podría haber aprovechado mejor los otros 2 días a la semana que no hacía nada. Quizás hubiese dedicado un poco más de tiempo a ello.
Y es que esto lo vemos reflejado en la vida también. En muchas ocasiones no prestamos atención a cosas, cuestiones que llevan de cuidado, dedicación, cariño por nuestra parte y de repente el resultado final no es igual, o se nos va de la mano y lo perdemos.
Y es entonces que empezamos a reflexionar cómo hubiese sido si tuviéramos presentes lo que teníamos a nuestro alrededor, pero ahora lo vemos desde fuera.
Muchas veces no sabemos valorar lo que tenemos cerca.
En conclusión,las cosas que se cuidan y se aman, son las que perduran y se mantienen con toda la belleza del principio. 🎯
