The way I see it, doing something or taking action to achieve something can be considered responsibility. It extends to both professional and personal areas. Every person is responsible for their own life. They are responsible for making it successful or unsuccessful. One rainy evening, I suddenly felt like drinking too much alcohol because it was too cold. But I gave up on that idea thinking, "What will happen to my family if I get into an accident or end up in a police cell after drinking this? They will be sad because of me." I have a responsibility to my children, my wife, and my parents. The decision to take that responsibility is also ours. I have simply taught my eldest daughter the value of taking responsibility, so she does some things on her own.

Yep, that's partly the responsibility I'm talking about. One must make sure one is taking care of business so to speak.
