As part of my daily routine, I was figuring out what to write on Hive. It's a daily ritual I'm trying to stick to, as I aim to maintain a consistent writing schedule.
There are days when my motivation falters, and I'll admit, I get lazy, skipping Hive and just giving in to my lazy side, doing nothing.
So lately, I've been thinking, and also discussing it with my hubby, weighing the pros and cons of writing daily.
I asked him, "Which is better, to prioritize consistency and write daily, even if it's not my best work? Or to focus on crafting quality content, even if it means posting less often?"
If you'll be going to ask... Which option do you think is more effective?
My hubby recalled a video he had seen.
It's all about being consistent.
He used the analogy of two people constructing stairs.

The first builder constructed the stairs with a focus on speed, prioritizing progress over precision, resulting in a tall but somewhat crooked structure, with a noticeable zigzag pattern, as the builder didn't concern meticulousness.

Meanwhile, the second builder, also working on his stairs, is taking a meticulous approach, ensuring every step is perfectly aligned, with no room for errors or imperfections.
The stairs aren't as high, as it's being built with a focus on careful progress.
Then he turned to me and asked, "Which type of builder do you aspire to be?"
"To be honest," I replied, "I admire the consistent one, even if his work isn't flawless. At least he's making steady progress and getting results."
If it were up to you, which would you choose?
Writing here in Hive takes effort to produce quality content. Of course, setting a standard is a must, especially for those guiding the community.
This could lead them to value your efforts and consider supporting your blog.
However, low upvotes aren't a definitive measure of your abilities. You've invested effort, thought, and time into creating your content.
Producing quality content daily, with dedication and writing it in a way you think meets your standards, is like constructing a flawless staircase, straight, to reach the top.
If I were just consistent in the past, the height of the stairs I've built would surely be high. I've been part of Hive for 3 years, but I took a break from writing. I'm not sure what led to the pause, it just happened.
But now I'm striving to be consistent. And I'm glad to say it's paying off. I've earned several busy bee badges recently, and it's a great feeling.
I'm keeping up with daily writing, and thankfully, I've managed to maintain the habit.
One thing that inspires me is the consistent writers I admire. They write daily and look at where they are now. Their progress is impressive, and it's clear they've put in the work.
Their stairs are high, and it's a great reminder of what's possible.
I'm talking about authors like @bozz, @ruffatotmeee, @galenkp, @noemilunastorta, etc.
Like, do they ever struggle with writer's block? They manage to write daily, consistently producing high-quality content.
It really inspired me, making me realize, if they can achieve it, I can as well. 🩷
So yeah.
If you're also writing daily, that's awesome! If not, what's holding you back? 😊
See... I made progress on my stairs again today. What about you?
Until my next thought...
Thanks for the visit! Have a lovely day. Buh-bye. 💗🌸

I tried to post all day but I admit sometimes I'm lazy or u suffer of a lack of inspiration, but I still think the better situation it's posting daily quality content or if you have a lack of inspiration using contest or weekly prompts for help it.
Yeah, I do that too, if I don't have anything to write. I joined contests. That helps to be consistent at least.
I'll also pick consistency over perfection.
You have a good point.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
