I actually lack any confidence. I suspect this is as high as we will see for the foreseeable, if ever. Not particularly in a doom-mongering sense.
Just feels matter of fact. I lost interest in the monetary aspect long, long ago.
I'm happy I 'earned' it all by writing, historically really quite quality stuff I reckon.
But I guess it was never going to become real money any more than NFTs were - especially since I knew I was in it for the long haul.
The fact is, I like writing. I like Hive. I like its lack of toxicity. I like its small size where barely anybody reads my thoughts. But it's a nice place to store things online. It's a nice thing to remind me to write sometimes cause it's a good exercise, it's therapeutic.
But these numbers really aren't anything. If Hive randomly jumps to $1 - would I even sell it and join in the inevitable dump, contributing to it ultimately flopping to 5 cents and below?
Meh.
Tbh, I always just wanted a big fat amount of Hive. Tired of having like 15k. This was a prime opportunity; I had kept everything in HBD this whole time, slowly accruing.
I thought $6,000 USD value would have done something to the price given the microscopic volume, but it seems I didn't even cause a glitch, a flicker of a response. Not sure why.

As one of those few who reads your thoughts. (The ones you manifest here) - I'm grateful for your contributions to my world view, and I couldn't give a fuck if you had one, or one billion hive power.

I like your way of thinking about Hive. I also like Hive and its size. Some folks talk about Hive needing a lot more writers to be more successful. I can barely keep up with what everyone I follow now writes on a daily basis. Also, Hive is more than a social network, it is also a decentralized database with no fees and there is a lot more that can be done with that.

If you spend any time on basically any mainstream place, you'll find it to be orders of magnitude more toxic. The algorithms allow it to feed into you at an increasing rate the more milliseconds your eyes accidentally latch onto something negative. It breeds it.
Here, it comes and goes but like.. whatever. My feed here is roughly 0% toxic
Well yeah I wasn't claiming to make some statistical, data-based claim about the median % & spread of toxicity based on a Cambridge research on semantic definition of toxicity.
I'm obviously just talking about my own experience here, which I enjoy.
I do not care enough about the goings-on here to be getting myself engaged in the meaningless, petty sludge and drama.
Mainstream world is different; it comes for you whether you like it or not.
As an aside though, I've no problem with passive-aggressive flagging. No different to a passive-aggressive comment. I don't really consider that toxic, but anyway.
