Totally agree! But I wonder if it's always been the case? In the days when we didn't have intimate and perpetual access to the minds of the great people, we would only ever hear about them through newspaper clippings or rumour.
A certain eccentricity can be just as powerful to draw people into your thoughts (in fact some people suggest Jesus was a schizophrenic or similar which could be interesting!)
