This is the root of the issue.

Yesterday a British euro fighter shot down a drone (heading for Cyprus) update. Edit shot down over Jordan.
It was reported as the first use of this aircraft in combat.

The reporter had an almost gleeful tone to her voice as if to say. "It works"

The missile used to shoot down the drone cost 10x the cost of the drone.

At least. It is pretty crazy that while "cost of living crises" have dominated the headlines for ages, people are fine spending 100x as much to blow stuff up.

Never ceases to amaze me that the public swallow the nonsense of so called 'fiscal responsibility' from governments i.e. no money for public services but as soon as the war machine needs oiling the taps are wide open?
