I agree with you: I feel like there’s a lack of imagination in this world. A few months ago, I noticed how Netflix was making simple movies that people could easily digest. If we consider that many people prefer to watch the movie before reading the book, we realize that they prefer everything to be handed to them on a silver platter, with nothing left to the imagination. A book helps you interpret, visualize, and create worlds different from your own—and even from the writer’s. As R.R. Martin once said: “A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies.
