Strolling the city- Reflecting on life!

in Reflectionslast month

On a rare occasion one of my friend's and I were both free on a Sunday so we planned a bike ride around the central Delhi's area.
Being confined and obliged to both of our work schedules and family duties for so long that this small outing was super refreshing!

Central part of Delhi is generally the most drive friendly with beautiful roads, trees all around, all breezy and connectivity of Connaught place -cp.

The revival of memories like a smell of old perfume
As we drove our bike, we chit chatted about all our good old goofy days of childhood, some funny memories and some gossips. It was so refreshing.
It was super rejuvenating sharing not just old memories but the new as well. We discussed our good and bad times going on from all those amazing work experiences we both are experiencing to all those difficult traps we get into every other day.

These are not some historic structure but some really important government buildings and embassy in Delhi. Isn't it beautiful and slightly blurry pictures set the tone of the story as to how quickly but beautiful both of us friends met and chit chatted.

Moving ahead we felt little hungry after making lots and lots of jokes on each other, well this what happens in such situations.

So we took our bike to Cp. cannaught place. It's a commercial block in central delhi which is beautifully designed and maintained. it has lots and lots of food shops. clothing and commercial stores . You will find n number of brands here with individual stores.

Yes the pictures are of evening, we strolled around india gate , went to cp for food and then got back to india gate on our way back home.
So, the pictures of night posted initially is just a play of thoughts exciting you to read the journey. which contrasts life.

The beauty of Cp and it's alleys in unbeaten.
It has always been our go to place be it with friends, family and even solo times. I remember once during college, I had a strong dispute with my father so I went off to cp for a day to leave back chaos and have some me time clearing my head and exploring the alleys.
So, like that many good and bad memories are attached to the place.
Now that we were Hungry
So my friend too me to an eatery he recently went with his girlfriend, and that was serving German special draught beer.

This was amazing in ambience, hospitality, food but was evidently mildly expensive. Although the space onviously seemed like one.
So, the cannaught clubhouse is purely German influenced as my friend explained since his Career is based being some German speaking techie, he really knows about this place well.

Interestingly we ordered two wheat draughts and one pasta. Since we had to have dinner at home so we ordered just a tasteful.
The beer was good, Pasta being creamy and delicious we ended our day with a big old
CHEERS!

What a trip back to memory lane, how certain places bring back personal memories we had with them. The CP area seems like a cool escape with wide pavements and the well-preserved character of the buildings while keeping up with the modern times. I'd love to be able to visit the northern part of India one day.

Hi @discoveringarni Absolutely it is so true that certain places bring back memories.
You are most welcomed to India :)

I always love reading about india when it shows this part. It's so unfortunate that a lot of people only see the slums and the street vendors. It's like there are luxurious places over there too just like the place you showed. It's always nice reading a heartwarming nostalgia post! this was such a well-written too.

Yes that is so true, There are some people who love to paint a negative image. Its very common for each country. I despise those people.
Thank you so much for you time on my publication, see you around here.
Good day @macchiata :)
