RE: National Envy

England can be beautiful. Poor old girl has her issues. I used to miss it. Now I'm just grateful I was born in this beautiful part of Australia 🦘 where I literally have kangaroos jumping up the street and big black cockatoos landed in the trees behind our house and bush and beach. But half the people I know can't afford a house. We only got in by skin of our teeth 15 years ago. We have great healthcare though. Great natural environment. Truly blessed. Couldn't ever have in UK what I have here. Lucky Jamie married me. He came in at 32 on spouse visa. Marry a Canadian or Australian??

yeah yeah Aussies bragging about how great their country is and how we don't get to enjoy it -__-

I'm already married lol so it would have to be a very devious scheme (a lot of people do; there's Chinese markets advertising such plans).

I don't think I would ultimately be able to settle in AUS though. As dreamy as it clearly is. It's isolated far, far away, there's like... no history or like... heritage? It just kinda feels stale in that specific way.

I absolutely love the idea of living among the ruins of giants; the castles, ruins, aqueducts, dungeons, centuries-old walls and graveyards, 1,000 year old relics everywhere you look, it shapes how you think and feel on a multi-generational level.

If we didn't keep bringing in subversive, weak, stupid governments, we could probably come back to glory in a few decades. Then you guys might be jealous of us.
