“Crypto is a sign of end times…” hahaha.
And I’ve been immersed enough in the spaces to get where people are coming from with the logic of linking it to mandatory CBDCs, implanted chips, etc… but yeah. Major cognitive biases and logical fallacies at play.
Also reminds me of this dude I’ve encountered recently who teaches stuff on trusts - some good info for sure; looks younger than he probably is, puts himself off to be rather prim, proper, professional… yet nearly completely discredits himself when his biases kick in with the statement, “crypto is a psyop” (as though anyone could seriously lump EVERY crypto project in the work into such a single thought-terminating cliche’d category) - in the same argument that crypto could not be used for CBDCs because proof of work requires too much energy. Like seriously, dude claims to be some financial expert making such certain declarations, while clearly not even have done enough BASIC research/education to know that the MAJORITY of blockchains - especially the ones GOVERNMENTS & INSTITUTIONS ARE BUILDING ON/WITH are using different models that use practically zero energy…?? hahahaha.
Gotta take EVERYTHING people say with a grain of salt these days… :-)
You sure do! It's scary. I'm a pretty innocent person, so the idea that I have to doubt everything is kind of hard to swallow. It's where we are though.
