RE: Catching Missed

in Reflections • 2 days ago

Irrational anxieties are stupid and I hate them. I remember when the kids were little I developed severe driving anxiety which made our excuresion based homeschooling an interesting experience (and there were quite a few times where I just gave in and stayed home because it was ridiculous and extreme to the point where I absolutely KNEW for FACTS we were ABSOLUTELY going to get into a car accident and die). Then one day when they were all in their teens it just...disappeared as suddenly as it had appeared.

I still hate driving to this day but for completely different reasons (tactile, I hate vibrations since probably childhood, though it seems I was a lot more tolerant of it in my youth than now).

Was that your view while getting the infusion? Definitely beats a wall :D

Hope smallsteps is feeling better soon.

I was listening to something about this recently, where a person had the same. It was brought on by the desire to protect the kids also. The person couldn't drive on highways, only backroads. Pretty limiting.

This is a new one for me. I get it though, as I hate them too, but never really thought about it as more than an annoyance. The spectrum continues on :)

No. I had a wall. But it had a picture of trees.

She is back at school again today, which she is super happy about. She was upset yesterday at maybe not going, because her friend called and said that it is hamburger day. :D

I mean that's logical (to some value of logical I guess given that it just takes one stupid/selfish/inattentive/all of the above person to ruin everyone's day) but we had stuff to do and didn't have time for that crap.

well it seemed we had a lot more time than most people had even if I felt a lot of time pressure quite regularly and kind of didn't always notice that til later

I had a wall

Picture of trees is okay I guess. There's way too much internal space in hospitals.

LoL unfortunate about missing hamburger day XD Glad she's feeling better :)
