This is an interesting one.
Over the years I have had several cars, always bought them brand new. I have been thinking about a new one lately but this time it will be a used one. It is not worth paying so much for something will depreciate 30% or more the moment you purchase it.
On top of that, I keep thinking in the use. I would love a pickup for the farm in Portugal but at the same time I want a confortable car for the long trips back and forth. Right now I am using the trailer when I have to carry heavy or big stuff.
Finally I am seriously considering an electric or at least hybrid one, it will depend on the distance capacity. Now that I have experienced the freedom of being power self sufficient I want to keep moving forward in that direction as much as possible.
All in all, I believe I would spend no more than 20K but it will also depends on what I can find in the market :)

Comfortable daily car and an old pickup left on the farm? Something you can service yourself a bit perhaps.
Not sure about there, but electrics can be bought used "relatively" cheap compared to new. Here they are still expensive for me :)
