I made a similar point in my last post when talking about a movie....we as a parent often expect our kids to do which we never able to achieve...but in reality everyone are differrnt and each one have their own calibre to excel....this is a great way to nurture the talent in our kids....I liked it.....also more importantly, "expectation reduces joy" ...so if we expect our dream to get fulfilled from.our kids then at the end it is us who will regret.

I love this phrase, "the expectation reduces the joy."
I commented in my publication that I have teacher friends who forced their children to study what they wanted their children to study, in the end the children did not graduate in that career, they decided to become independent and study what they really wanted, my friends were always regretting that, it is very sad for them, but while they do not accept it, they will always continue to regret that they forced their children to study something they did not want.

That phrases has the bitter truth that people understand too late in their life.....
