Last few days, I am pretty caught up with family issues. One of my aged aunty is unwell. She is a 62 years old loving lady at home. We like her much because of her caring attitude. But lately she is facing a lot of acidity issue causing her stomach pain which makes her to cry and getting hopeless. Seeing her uncomfortable, we have been running to different doctors, but the pain is not getting reduced. The basic cause of her problem is "fatty lever", which is making her old age life a hell. Looking back at her problem, it reminded me how the sedentary lifestyle has been ruining life of many individuals.

A sedentary lifestyle is a type of daily routine characterized by minimal physical movement and excessive sitting. My aunty is great example of it. She has put on weight and gets bulky. Overall, she has less physical activity involved in her daily routine. I remember hardly seeing her walking. Her movement is confined within the room of her house. She never cared to walk a mile or do some physical stretching. Seeing her condition, it reminded me mine case as well. When I was on verge of getting into the sedentary lifestyle. But a timely notice helps me to recover from causing any serious issue to me.
During my office days, I hardly used to get time for physical activities. It was monotonous work lifestyle, that starts with home then travelling in office cabs, then I had a sitting jobs, no matter how long it will go and then back to home through office cabs. The routine just took a heavy toll on my body and started getting fat especially around the waistline. On realizing my deteriorating condition, i started to go on walk during the office hours and then started earning morning workout. Rather than giving time on scrolling screen before the sleep, i preferred to woke up early to do some running and hitting gym. That helps me controlling my situation from bad to worse. My aunty who now suffering from acute pain never realized how her sedentary lifestyle is risking her life.

A sedentary lifestyle, often called "sitting disease," significantly increases the risk of premature death by fostering chronic, life-threatening conditions. Although my aunty has no severe disease so far, but she is facing acute pain coupled with breathing issue. Prolonged sitting with no physical movement may causes muscular weakness, atrophy, poor posture, chronic backaches, and reduced joint flexibility. When you don't move enough, you burn fewer calories, causing an energy imbalance that leads to weight gain and obesity. These days, most of the youth are slowly putting them selves into sedentary lifestyle. Without knowing the ill effects of such lifestyle.
Gen Z due to heavy reliance on technology for work, education, and entertainment, leading to excessive daily screen time and reduced physical movement. Increased reliance on online food delivery and digital entertainment (social media, streaming) keeps this generation seated for long periods. Triggering a timely alarm for a sedentary life is beneficial because it breaks up prolonged, uninterrupted sitting, which is an independent risk factor for chronic diseases and premature mortality

My dad is kind of the same way. He used to work in a factory, so he chooses to sit more now and I can tell it is having a negative effect on his body.
