They do a dis-service to the idea of protest and speaking out from a position of knowledge and understanding and so often, love to shut down debate with a sly slogan orr two.
I would far rather have genuine debate and maybe learn a thing or two from the other person, I have many friends with whom I disagree strongly on many things, but after spirited debate, we go back to being regular friends and hopefully both learn a point or two that we hadn't considered before.
I am convinced we have many similarities in how we see the world, politically and philosophically but probably a few points we could happily disagree on without cancelling each other 😁
Just imagine how much that collective defiance would be if we all operated from similar principles, that NO! would ring fear to the people and organisations that need to hear it most...
