Over the Other

Over the Other

The other side, things are better,
Cleaner, smoother, easier.
The lies they lay to keep away,
Those attempting to scale the fence.

The other side is barren,
Yet filled with plenty.
The peak of society,
Devoid the ethics of humanity.

Masks of porcelain,
Bodies trimmed with gold.
Lay above faces of evil,
And the decay of illness.

The other side has opportunity,
Thrown away by the barrel.
Filled with the blood,
Of the undesirables.

This side claims righteous,
complains of the other.
Until they have made it over,
And are in bed with their lover.

Damn man that is a dark one!

I love how the false virtues of the other side are immediately annulled by the stench of rot!

I always find it interesting how some people see the problems of the "other side" but once they are on it, defend those same practices.

Age old sentiment that the grass is always greener. Might actually be plastic.

For some reason this reminded me of a simpsons episode. Simpsons family were banished from the Springfield and then joined a small community in the wild. They really enjoyed living there...Until more people from Springfield started moving there and basically made it another Springfield. I guess it goes to show that world is best there where are no us...Shame really.

We aren't the problem - our behaviours are.

We all are evil beings. Just waiting for our moments to be set free. The other side is indeed beautiful from far away, maybe near part as well. The real danger starts, when we become something not acceptable on moral grounds.

All one need is corrupted "gold", and lots of "blood" on ones hand. And good to go.

The real danger starts, when we become something not acceptable on moral grounds.

And those morals keep changing depending on what is deemed acceptable at the time and fits desires.

Amidst the soft drizzle and tea in the pot,
We weigh up the 'Other'—to love them or not.
To favour a bridge o’er a wall made of stone,
A proper old chinwag, lest we stay alone.
Minding the gap with a nod and a cheers,
Choosing dialogue, mate, to banish the fears,
For the stranger reflects our own colour and years.

Indeed, in society I often find people who are talkative. People with masked faces, behind their masked faces they are actually evil. My comment. Thank you.
