I wish more parents would smack their children. Not beat them, smack them. Physical instruction is very effective, it is the way we learn so much in our life, but it is a tool that has been mostly taken away from parents. A lot of the problems in the western world with kids would not be present, had the kids been smacked a little. Instead, all that parents can do is try to use psychological tools that they don't know how to use well and will do a lot of lifelong damage, or shout.

Reflections is a really good name. It seemed to fit what I needed to write. Right now, all I can do is reflect on what was said the last time we saw each other, and how he misunderstood my motives. Then there is the fact that every kid these days has every friend and relative in their pocket. One notification and they are no longer in a conversation with Dad.

Everyone has the "support they want" but not necessarily the support they need. It is a broken system, where people are relying on those who don't actually care that much (if at all) about them.
