RE: What a F*

Do they allow them to square off and settle it 1-on-1?

No they don't. There are also no pads. Occasionally you will see some wearing soft helmets, which are often due to prior concussions and other issues. Most don't wear even that though. I have seen some horror injuries over the years in Aussie Rules. They are about the same size as hockey players though. It is worth the watch if interested to find out more though. I have some friends here (a couple ex pro hockey players too) who follow the games when they can.

Neither does the victim mentality

This is the culture today. Victimhood is celebrated and the healthy are reviled.

good example is spazz

My daughter doesn't even like "idiot". Spazz should really be brought back - it is a great descriptor of an uncoordinated person. The interesting thing about it is, it isn't even a medical term used for an individual, it is just a general term for muscle spasms :D

Anyhow, I wonder if the suspendee would control his words a little better if he knew he might be called to answer for them directly.

He actually made a call to the guy after the game and apologised. I think he did that before the report, but unsure.

Sort:

So same result but they had to get officials involved and change the game off the field and he probably was instructed to apologize after the damage was done. Might be my hockey showing but why not let them sort it out themselves, sit in the box and play on?

Aussie rules fights tend to escalate until both teams are going full battle royale. Hasn't happened in a while.

Yah those are fun to watch but so dangerous for the athletes. Happens in hockey too but in rare occasions.

My kinda sport though!
