We Talk Friday
(WTF)
This is a semi-regular series that I will run on Fridays to hold discussions on a current topic from the week gone. The aim is to keep them light and conversational, though some might be heavier - regardless of the content topic itself though, just have some fun engaging and discussing with whoever happens to put in the effort in the comments section below.

We Talk Friday Ep. 71: Smells Like
1. Poopy Pants
This week I wrote about the Hyrox dilemma where a competitor kept competing after defecating, spreading her joy all over the track and, still winning. In an update from that, she has now apologised and "regrets" doing continuing and has retroactively withdrawn from the competition. I get the apology and the regrets, but why withdraw? Now, someone else has technically won the event.
But that's a shitty way to win.
2. In the Buff
And speaking of winners - in an unexpected move, Warren Buffet has resigned as chairman of Berkshire Hathaway. I know I know - he probably had a couple more good decades in him, but at 96 years of age, he has decided to spend more time being a present father to his three young children, Susan, Howard and Peter - aged 73, 71 and 68. They are going to play catch and make a road trip to Disneyland together.
3. Who's Trolling Now
Allegedly, this photo shot through the window of Airforce One shows Trump perusing plans to demolish the Kennedy Center, after a judge nixed it being changed to his name, or something or other. But have a good look at this photo.

I have so many questions...
So he gets on the plane and while it still sits on the runway, an aid hands him a billboard-sized picture with "Kennedy Center DEMOLITION" in large red font, and a picture of what doesn't look like the Kennedy Center being pulled down by some yellow earthmovers.
Umm, What?!
Do all of the correspondence get handed to him in "Big Book" size? Or does he like everything to come in the same large check size golf tournament winners and spelling bee kids get?
The whole setup smells very much like, a recent Hyrox event.

And you may be rewarded.
She likely withdrew so she could put the whole sorry mess behind her. If her name were still listed as the winner, she'd forever be known as the winner who kept competing after defecating.
She well and truly left a mess behind her already.
She'll still be remembered for defecating anyway.
In the Buff was hillarious 😂
96 and still sharp, pretty impressive though.
I get the apology and the regret, but withdrawing after the act feels odd to me. She competed. If there was a violation, the organisers should decide the consequence, not the athlete rewriting the result herself. Now someone else gets the win retrospectively.
And on Warren Buffett;
It's such a beautiful reminder that no matter how successful we become, time with the people we love is still priceless. At 96, perhaps the greatest investment Warren Buffett can make now isn’t in Berkshire Hathaway, but in memories with his family. And those “young children” ages 73, 71 and 68 really made me laugh.😄
