RE: An historic event took place yesterday.

Of course, let's delve into this further. Whataboutism often deflects from a specific accusation by referring to other situations. However, this doesn't change the responsibility for committed crimes. A counterargument could be that two wrongs don't automatically justify each other.

Regarding the official war crimes of the USA, here are some examples:

Vietnam War:

  • My Lai Massacre in 1968, where US soldiers killed hundreds of unarmed Vietnamese civilians.
  • Use of Agent Orange, a defoliant that led to severe health and environmental damage.

Iraq War

  • The abuse of prisoners at Abu Ghraib prison in 2003, documented through photos and reports of mistreatment and torture.
  • The use of torture methods such as waterboarding and sleep deprivation, as outlined in the Senate Intelligence Committee Report on CIA Torture in 2014.

These incidents are documented in reports by government agencies, independent investigations, and in the media. It's important that such crimes are investigated and those responsible are held accountable, regardless of whatever other events may have occurred.

Here are more crimes committed by the USA:

Guantanamo Bay

  • Detaining suspects without charge or trial, some for years, in a legal gray area criticized internationally.

Drone strikes

  • Using drones for targeted killings outside officially declared war zones, resulting in civilian casualties and raising questions of legality and ethics.

Support for authoritarian regimes

  • Historically supporting and collaborating with authoritarian regimes worldwide, often involved in human rights abuses for geopolitical reasons.

Invasion of Grenada

  • Invading Grenada in 1983 without international legitimacy, viewed as a violation of sovereignty and an act of aggression.

These examples demonstrate that the USA, like all countries, are not exempt from errors, underscoring the importance of holding them accountable and learning from them.

You should clean up your own house before accusing others of their mistakes. I want to emphasize once again that you don't take responsibility for the mistakes of the USA and fail to address any of my arguments, instead deflecting from the topic and threatening to downvote me. Do what you can't help but do, because in threatening and destroying, you continue to excel. And step out of your bubble and accept that there are other nations with different ideas, cultures, and forms of government. Nobody asked you to eradicate peoples in the name of democracy. If you truly cared about democracy and human rights, you would have to invade your closest allies like Saudi Arabia, Qatar, China, Israel, etc., but you don't stand tall enough for that; instead, you fantasize as if you're the best. Your country was founded by robbing and displacing Native Americans. So start cleaning up your own house before accusing other countries of violating international law.
