We have to fail in order to succeed.
Who has learned to walk?
Almost all of us, right?
“You fell... and got up... You fell again, and got up again. You fell. You got up... Until one day, you walked without falling anymore.”
If you had thought about falling, even after getting up a few seconds earlier, and had thought to yourself:
“I'm not going to try anymore.” You still wouldn't be able to walk today.
The problem is getting up from failure. And there will come a time when success will come. You have to acquire what the professional has, but what the amateur will never have.
And you ask: “What does the professional have that the amateur doesn't?”
And the answer is much simpler and more direct than you might think....
Patience and persistence.
This phrase is not mine. But it makes perfect sense. There is no point in wanting to achieve success or fulfillment without going through the attempts. There is no point in wanting to speed up the night. You will have to face the darkness of the night to finally see the sun rise and shine in the sky. We all want to see the light of day. But to do so, we will only be able to see it after a dark night.
Difficult moments exist. There is nothing we can do to eliminate them. But we can focus on the fact that the day will come when these difficulties fade away... These difficulties are replaced by a moment of joy. And then everything will make more sense. It's not that suffering doesn't have to exist. But it is part of learning and the path to something we are constantly walking towards.
We want to know what a successful person in a particular area of life did differently. And the answer can be summed up in one sentence: “That person did not give up on their last attempt before achieving success.”
Is success guaranteed for everyone? No. It couldn't be. But the fact that we want to do better tomorrow than today already brings us closer to what we desire.
Not all of us can be Cristiano Ronaldo in the game of life. But we can all try to find ways to give a little more of ourselves. To open up the darkness a little more and eliminate the barriers of unfamiliarity or ignorance.
Darkness and ignorance have never contributed, nor will they ever contribute, to the evolution of a society or even an individual.
Let us wait for the first rays of light... For the most discreet and subtle morning in the firmament of our minds.
I hope you enjoyed today's little reflection.

Christiano is a "workhorse", he deserves his career... But as you say, for the rest of us, mere mortals, failures are necessary in order to move forward.
Have a great evening

Exactly. We don't all have to be the same. Some of us have more abilities, or develop in different ways. There's no shame in not being perfect. And thankfully, we're not. Otherwise, what fun would life be?
