Life is full of cracks
There is no such thing as perfection when everything is perfect...
The cracks that exist are tragedies, setbacks, challenges. It ends up being everything that doesn't seem easy to take. Something we can say we can go through without even being influenced.
But we can think a little more about what these cracks, these imperfections, represent. And we can even find comparisons, allegories, or metaphors for life.
For example, we can conclude that if there is no crack, outside light cannot enter an egg. Thus, unless there is some imperfection, the chick will never be able to break free from inside. There must be something that makes the outside permeable, transposable, so that what is inside can see the light of day.
Therefore, the truth is that we must face pain and suffering not as something we invite and welcome, but as something that naturally arises in our path.
We must see them as the potential and possible capacity for a new birth.
It ends up being a paradigm shift. And all paradigm shifts happen through some kind of disruption.
It is not possible to change state while remaining comfortable and under the same conditions. Something has to change.
And often, it is this external stimulus that we need in order to overcome a barrier (which, in the metaphor I have chosen, is represented by the eggshell), which until then we have regarded as protection and security. What was once our protection becomes our limitation.
It is very interesting to reflect on what we consider to be our safe haven today, which tomorrow may become something that limits our growth and our potential, don't you think?
Can you give examples of difficulties you have faced in your life, which seemed like cracks in your “shell,” but which then made you break away from everything, discover a new reality, and enhance your characteristics and gifts?
