Hello again one and all,

Recap - Sunday, 9th July, 2023
One winner from six selections, and 2 non runners left us with a small loss on the day (I forgot to reflect the returned stakes for the non-runners in the table above) so the current Overall Profit is actually £0.77.
|No. of Tipsters
Just five tipsters left of the group to bag a winner as we reach a third of the way through July
Rob Wright takes over at the top on the back of a three day winning streak. Fingers crossed he turns that into four wins in a row today. Early leader West Country has slipped back into the chasing pack thanks to his change in fortunes, going from four consecutive winners into a three day losing run.
Azure Angel was heavenly yesterday, after a poor start left her trailing the pack, and in plumb last place coming off the turn for home. As the field spread out along the straight, she found a seam up the rail. Got a big bump off a rival just before the 1f pole, hitting the rail. Responded to that well, got back into her stride and got her nose in front inside the last 50 yards, just holding off the second Holy Fire by a head. Beside the two non-runners, we had a second, a third and a sixth place finish from our other bets.

No wins so far in her short eight race career, but did grab another second place finish last time out over 5 furlongs at Beverley last month, finishing second by a length and a half. Slightly up in trip to six furlongs for this outing. Is partnered by jockey G Lee for the second time.
Cheeky Extra Bet
Yesterday's selection was a non-runner, so no result to comment on.
Today we are rolling with Renegade Racing as he gives us a selection in the "Top Three Finish" market, advising a 1.5 pt win at odds of 2.20. When placing the bet the odds had slipped in a touch and I got 2.10 as a result.
The reasoning behind this pick from his subscriber email :
The market has really overlooked Roll With It on his hurdles debut for Richard Spencer. Roll With It bumper form is pretty good and should be in the mix for the top positions. However with the top 3 odds being odds against I'll take this market as opposed to the winner market. Last time out in a bumper at Huntingdon he finished within the top 6 bunch of horses. These included Crambo & Crebilly who are rated 130+ over hurdles. Roll With It finished close to Kulfulum Woods & Bubble Dubi who are rated 108 + 117 respectively. This is a strong bumper but the good form is seen in other bumpers. At Kempton in a bumper two runs ago Roll With It finished 8 lengths ahead of Boom Boom rated 108 and 7 lengths behind Leave of Absence who won comfortably on hurdles debut. This type of performance will see him competitive if he runs to this sort of level on hurdles debut. The market also seems to have priced Baikal pretty short. Last time out over hurdles he won a very weak maiden hurdle. That day he was given 6lbs by Moonshine Spirit who finished a length behind and is rated 100. Baikal now gets a winner penalty in a race he would have struggled to be competitive in anyway.
That about wraps it up for another day,
Hope you all have a great day and rest of the week, and hope you find some success in your day, whether that be in the sports world or otherwise. And as usual if you follow the picks or go against them let me know, you never know there may be a reward coming your way with some SPORTS tokens.
