Hello again one and all,
The weather has finally broken, and its pouring with refreshing rain at last here in the UK. Five meetings to scour for winners today, featuring 36 races in all. 1:35pm is the start time of the first race at Newcastle, with Hamilton in Scotland bring a close to proceedings with the last race of the day at 9:00pm.

Skysail ultimately didnt get the wind to fill his sail, despite tracking the leaders for the early part of this race, when asked for more effort around 3f to go, was unable to match the pace being set, weakening inside the final furlong to finish a good 9 lengths behind the winner. So no 4-in-a-row for us as we edge closer to the end of the month.

Three places to date in a career of just 7 starts. Last time, 3 days ago, out beaten by a neck
at Chepstow over today's trip. Beat another of today's runners - Daisy Roots - into 4th place, finishing second in a 7f handicap at Lingfield at the beginning of the month. First time in the saddle for Hollie Doyle, who recently had 3 winners at Royal Ascot - becoming the first female jockey to win a Group 1 race at the event - and completed bagging a winner at every flat track in the UK yesterday with a great win at Carlisle.
Cheeky Extra Bet
Gaius came through yesterday, and the result shows the benefit of getting on early when following tips. I got on this advised tip at 11-8. By the time the race got underway at 3:58pm his odds had slipped to odds-on at 5-6, which if I had waited till just before the off would have been meant getting £0.06 less at settlement time. Not a huge amount given the modest stakes but mutiply that up for higher stakes and the numbers make a bit of a difference (for example : a £10 per point stake - which is what the Renegade is using - would mean a difference of £6.00 difference in returns)
For today, Renegade Racing is going back to the "to finish in the top 3" market advising a 1.25 pt win at 1.91 odds on Ernest Rutherford in the 4:45pm at Nottingham. Once again I've limited myself to my standard 1 pt (£0.10p stake) with odds of 2.00
