Hello all the HIVE community, here I come to tell you about my visit to an interesting exhibition, here in Valencia-Venezuela. It is the Exhibition of the Michelena Awards. From 1947 to 2004.
This Hall has a very wide trajectory, and the sample is made up of 30 works of different artists, who won the first prize of this artistic confrontation.
Hola toda la comunidad HIVE, por aqui les vengo a relatar mi visita a una interesante exposición, aqui en Valencia-Venezuela. Se trata de la Exposición de los Premios Michelena. Desde 1947 hasta 2004.Este Salón tiene una trayectoria muy amplia, y la muestra está conformada por 30 obras de diferentes artistas, que ganaron el primer premio de esta confrontación artística.
I am going to tell you what this Art Salon is about, which is very important here in my country. On July 29, 1943 was created the 'Salón de Pintura Premio Arturo Michelena' by Decree issued by the then "President of the State of Carabobo" Tomas Pacanins, agent of the National Executive presided by General Isaías Medina Angarita.Les voy a contar de que trata este Salón de Arte, que es muy importante aquí en mi país. El 29 de julio de 1943 fue creado el 'Salón de Pintura Premio Arturo Michelena' mediante Decreto dictado por el entonces "Presidente del Estado Carabobo" Tomas Pacanins, agente del Ejecutivo Nacional presidido por el General Isaías Medina Angarita.
Its objective is to promote national plastic art as well as to pay homage to the Valencian painter Arturo Michelena (1863-1898), one of the most outstanding representatives of Venezuelan art of the 19th century, and since then it has been a platform for the recognition and projection of emerging and established artists.Su objetivo es promover el arte plástico nacional así como rendir homenaje al pintor valenciano Arturo Michelena (1863-1898), uno de los más destacados representantes del arte venezolano del siglo XIX, y desde entonces ha sido una plataforma para el reconocimiento y proyección de artistas emergentes y consagrados.
In this exhibition you can admire works such as the one by Magdalena Fernández, winner of the award in 1998 and entitled 8/998. It is an aluminum installation where the drawing has as its basic element the line in space. In two-dimensional works we are spectators before those strokes, so it is surprising to see in an exhibition hall, a drawing that has crossed the limits of frame and wall and has a tangible presence that can even be inhabited. With this installation, in which space is the protagonist as the main element of the aesthetic experience.En esta exposición se puede admirar obras como la de Magdalena Fernández ganadora del premio en 1998 y se títula 8/998. Es una instalacion de aluminio donde el dibujo tiene como su elemento básico la línea en el espacio. En las obras bidimensionales somos espectadores ante esos trazos, por eso sorprende ver en una sala expositiva, un dibujo que ha traspasado los límites de marco y pared y tiene presencia tangible que incluso se puede habitar. Con esta instalación, en la cual el espacio es el protagonista al ser el principal elemento de la experiencia estética.

In his proposal, the conjunction of techniques and signs in the proposal of a dreamlike space, at times close to the universe of the cave, seduces us especially by the strength of its finish, by the synthesis of materials and accents. It is a work where poetry is inscribed based on the dreamlike coexistence of lumps, layers of paint on fibers and wood.Otra de las obras presentes es de Samuel Baroni, El Sueño de lluvia perdió la piel, y gano el premio en 1988. En su propuesta se nota, l a conjunción de técnicas y de signos en la propuesta de un espacio onírico, a ratos cercanos al universo de lo rupestre, nos seduce sobre todo por la fuerza de su acabado, por la síntesis de materias y acentos. Es una obra donde la poesía se inscribe con base en la coexistencia onírica de grumos, capas de pintura sobre fibras y madera.

Nocturno, who won the prize in 1983. His work is based on research, reflection and dialogue with masterpieces, showing what has been a constant in his work since then: the demonstration that art must be, in addition to intuitions and ideas, appropriations that approach and demolish limits. The personification of the face of the night is unveiled little by little, it emerges in the gaze of a lady who serenely traps the spectator in a kind of enchantment.Y mi obra preferida de esta exposición es la de Francisco Bugallo Nocturno, quien gano el premio en 1983. Su obra se basa en la investigación, reflexión y diálogo con obras maestras, mostrando lo que ha sido una constante en sus realizaciones desde entonces: la demostración de que el arte debe ser, además de intuiciones e ideas, de apropiaciones que acercan y derriban límites. La personificación del rostro de la noche se devela poco a poco, emerge en la mirada de una dama que serenamente atrapa al espectador en una especie de encantamiento.

Hola mira por los momentos convocatorias en el MUVA, no hay porque están remodelando. La convocatoria más cercana que hay es el Salón Michelena que se va a realizar en el Museo de la Cultura
