Project Burner: Concept Art First Drafts Walker

I am finishing off the first draft concept art series with one of my personal favorite Koth monsters, the humble walker. As an alternate form to the walking maw, this tri-pedal monster has a sharp spine on the end of each leg. The main feature is a cube which has spikes coming off of it. It may look like a head, but it is actually a weapon for attacking prey. The spiked structure is swung around in a circle. The actual mouth of the creature is on the underside of the junction of the legs. This attack is illustrated in the middle of the second image.

At the top of the second image is a rough sketch of how I think the creature would travel, digging in two of its legs into the terrain, then raising the third. The third leg is then swung forward in the direction of intended motion. The third leg then digs itself into the ground, and the creature rotates 120 degrees as it moves forward. It continues to rotate in one direction, turning 120 degrees with each step. This ends the first draft concept art mini-series, but it was a lot of fun to show off some preliminary designs to be used in Project Burner.
